At Roots and Rhodes, we provide Therapy for…

  • Mental Health Struggles

Anxiety, depression, personality difficulty, attention issues, substance-use disorders, and self-harm create an environment where everyday can feel like a fight to survive. Living with mental illness is scary, isolating, and confusing. Both for the person struggling and their family members.

Therapy can help you develop skills and tools to live more successfully with your mental health issues. We will work together with research backed techniques and compassion, to discover the roots of your difficulty and set you up to thrive.

  • Behavior Difficulties

All behavior is communication. As kids grow, they may not always know how to appropriately express themselves in order to get what they need. Oftentimes, unmet needs and unprocessed feelings come through in behaviors that are destructive, confusing, and difficult to manage.

Therapy will help to discover what is behind their behaviors. We will work to uncover the roots of their expression while learning new skills that meet those needs and aim them in the direction they desire for themselves.

  • Parent/Child Communication

While it’s natural for families to experience conflict, certain experiences can lead to greater and prolonged physical or emotional separation and difficulty between family members. In therapy, find support in your healing through a systematic approach to family members reconnecting with one another.

Therapy can begin at any point with any family member who is willing. It may not be possible for both/all family members to begin together. There is power in even one person’s healing.
